The following links will lead you to the SMUD and State of California websites for unclaimed property. I happened upon the SMUD information and the website says that unclaimed amounts will become the property of SMUD after 12/26/08, so time is limited.
The State of California database has been around for years, but I thought I’d throw that information in as well in case people aren’t aware of this information. Hundreds of thousands of dollars go unclaimed every year.
