If the 20th Century is defined by propositions and concepts, it seems that the 21st is being defined by community and context. If this is true, it has huge potential impact on our faith, relationships and outreach.
Concepts focus on presenting an idea and trying to build agreement around it. But context focuses on presenting truth in a way that will resonate with a particular audience in a specific setting.
Concepts were meant to be broadcasted around the world but context is taking global truth and making it very local.
I would love to hear from all of you about this distinction between the Age of Concepts and the Age of Context. Are you seeing this in your life/ministry?
How is a world focused on context different than one focused on concepts?
