This is a very important and pressing issue. We can clearly see the abundance that we live in and the destitute that some others live in and yet, often times we do nothing about it. How can we "Pay our Wealth forward" not only to our next generation but to the generations that are living right around us? Many of the issues that are at hand do not require monetary investments but time, TLC (tender loving care), and respect for others.

This is an awesome presentation. We have adapted this idea that God is going to bless the poor. But my question is how? I truly believe that God blesses us with resources to be a blessing to others. We prefer to purchase status symbols than to help those who are in need.

Wow! What he said is the cry of my heart for the last year. I am not fulfilling God’s desires when I sit in absolute luxury in America and do so very little to help those in the rest of the world...even though we tithe about 8% every month.
I have been convicted about this and have begun to share my convictions. Sadly, I have been opposed by most people I’ve shared this with...including family members. I shouldn’t feel guilty, I deserve what I have, God gave us this money to support our family, America already does much good in the world...the list goes on.
But, when I look into the face of Christ through the Gospel, I am not comfortable. I am very uncomfortable in my wealth and a bit concerned about what the Lord will say to me when I get to Heaven.
Did I do all I could with the blessings He has given me? Up til now...no. My prayer is that I will be different in the future. Lausanne is a starting point for me, as well as, I’m sure, many of you. May we bring to truth the fictional press release that Richard Stearns read!
