First Weeks in Review

After the first few weeks of school, the kids at Hope Kindergarten are settled in at school. The first few weeks they focused

on learning their ABCs and numbers in both English and Arabic. They also were delighted to learn about the five senses and the fun

activities that involved.

The KG1 classes learned about sight by playing a blindfolded game of “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” They also

enjoyed learning about taste through a blindfolded taste-test distinguishing between sweet, salty, and sour. They learned about smell through a similar game of guessing various foods by their scent alone. The senses for hearing and touch were learned through creative arts and crafts projects.

The children also loved learning silly songs in English and Arabic about letters, numbers, and the five senses. Keeping school fun is one of the main objectives of the teachers and they are doing a fantastic job coming up with entertaining as well as educational ways for the kids to learn!
