West Bank Micro-Business Programs

The West Bank, including Jericho, suffers from one of
the highest unemployment rates in the world and is
ravaged by political turmoil, widespread poverty, food
shortages and infrastructure destruction. These factors
make it difficult for families to start a business or find
employment. Seeds of Hope seeks to rebuild the Jericho
economy by creating small business opportunities,
such as Majool date palm farming. One palm tree
will produce an annual harvest providing each family
(owner) with $5,000 per year, which is equal to the
average annual salary in Jericho.
