Eligibility: Women and children affected by or victims of domestic violence.
Identifies and addresses the needs of women and children impacted by domestic violence in the Asian and
Pacific Islander community by offering a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven shelter and
community resources/services. Services and programs include Women to Work program (women’s learning
and support group), culturally appropriate domestic violence intervention, community presentations and
consultation, Wish List, and volunteer opportunities.

Temporary emergency shelter, meals, transportation, health services and clothing for those housed at
SAEHC, within the limit of available resources. Length of stay determined by need and ability to function
within shelter rules, up to 60 days. Counseling and case work services, assistance in locating permanent
housing and transitional housing programs. Medical referral and medical care for children. Information and
referral. Workshops in parenting and money management for residents. Children’s services. Sacramento
City Unified School District Homeless Education services for grades 1 – 12; Head Start for ages 3 –
kindergarten.

and money management for residents. Transitional housing program through SAEHC’s extended shelter
available to women saving for permanent housing. Program requires continued case management. Drug,
alcohol counseling available.

Eligibility: Single women or women with children; male children must be no older than 14 years
Emergency shelter for single women or women with children for 60 days; serving 3 meals and 2 snacks a
day; referral and advocacy services; access to Maryhouse hospitality and emergency services during the
day, and a link with available supportive services in the community. Children may enroll in Preschool and
Mustard Seed School. Access to counselors and group support. Staff works with guests to develop a plan
regarding their options when the 60 days stay is over. May be a waiting list.

Lodging and meals for homeless single men and women with a support system of multiple resources and
special programs. Job development, computer training, employment counseling, mental health services,
recreational activities, substance abuse counseling, Alcoholics Anonymous, alternative housing, spiritual
counseling, chapel service and bible studies are offered. Casework, counseling, and referral services
provided to address other areas of need. Haircut vouchers available for clients only.

Spiritual help and beds, clothing, food, and counseling service for men. Check-in time for overnight guests
is 6:30 pm on a first-come/first-served basis. Attendance at Gospel service each day at 7:00 pm is
mandatory. Dinner at 8:30 pm. Lunch is served Sundays after the 11 am service. Meals are open to
everyone who attends the service – men, women and children. Clothing and shower for men available MTh
