All the world’s Shea Butter comes from the Sub-Sahara African Shea Nut. And for many West African families the Shea Nut represents generational tradition, household utility, and an important source of revenue. Such is the case in Nikki, a community and region of Northern Bénin. Here, Shea Butter production has long-been a staple source of income and everyday household utility for the many rural women engaged in its production.
