Venture philanthropy (VP) has become part of the non-profit lexicon, often accompanied by a question mark; “What is…?” or “Could we work with…?” This report aims to answers the many questions that people in non-profit or social organisations
have about venture philanthropy. The report explains what ventury philanthropy is and where it came from, who is behind it, what they do and where they operate, and how much money is involved. The report has three sections.
Section One introduces venture philanthropy, defining what we mean, and giving key market figures and trends. In Section Two it details the VP funds in the UK, including
information on the people involved in each fund. Section Three has two indices to help charities work out who’s who, and who’s where, including a directory of Trustees, and an index
showing company links and involvements.
