Workplace Ministry. I seek every day to minister to those at work. I have to stay prayed up at the workplace. Satan is so busy and there are so many attitudes that we have to face each day. I always say that if people are having issues and problems that they cannot leave at home or outside the door before they enter their job, they need to take a leave of absence. What will happen is they will come to work with a wrong attitude and someone else will have that same bad attitude and someone or both people will get fired. God has a desire for our work-life that is quite different. To Him, our work is a holy calling – an opportunity to serve God and others (Colossians 3:23-24). Indeed, it is the mission of the work ministry to equip people to model Christ at their place of work, to encourage Biblical decision making which fosters the highest standard of excellence and integrity, thereby being a positive influence to others for the Kingdom and bringing glory to God. The ministry is accomplished through small groups (both at church and off site), courses and seminars, and One-to-One Discipleship by interacting with others.

If you want to begin the process of “working to the Lord” in your work life, l get started with one or two people and move forward. One of the things that I did was to start a bible study where we went over the Sunday school lesson for the week and by Friday we had discussed the lesson with about fifty people. As at the beginning of the week, I would give the word for the week or day. The word might be “have you developed the “fruit of the spirits”? You will be amazed at how this can change the attitudes and atmosphere of you work department. So let’s get started!!
