A critical discussion of the Exodus event and experience in the Hebrew scripture as a paradigm of liberation.

The Exodus event and experience in the Hebrew scripture is often used as a paradigm of liberation. This usage brings with it many questions, which we shall address, later in this document. This paper will investigate the pros and cons of using Exodus in this way. Additionally, it will seek to contextualize the liberation theology for the Caribbean, as against conservative theology. Finally, using epistemology, methodology, and social ontology of liberation, it will posit that the Exodus event and experience in the Hebrew scripture is an effective paradigm of liberation.
