A man with a shoulder Bag is at your door

God’s Servants-Are they Beggars?  (or) God Anointed to Bless your Household?

“He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me”

“He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”

“And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise loose his reward.                                                                                                     (Mathew. 10: 40-42)

Jesus, the Lord of Missions sent His Apostles to villages and  towns and charged them to go almost empty handed and preach the Gospel of the kingdom. A servant of the Living God should be as simple as this even to-day because Jesus never changes. They should otherwise go fully loaded with the power of the Holy Spirit, the Good news of the Kingdom.

I come from India and I am a church planter, a senior pastor and the director of Bethel NGO. I serve the Lord Fulltime do not go for secular jobs. I am not paid a salary by any organization or mission agency. Our associates do not have large church buildings or large offering collection Boxes. We do not have tithe giving people yet. We are growing. Our bare-foot pastors and evangelists are living by faith in Jesus.

India,  has 200 billion people and only 5% are Christians.  And in the region where I church plant, 99.90% are non-Christians. We are in an important mission of taking the Gospel for the first time to many villages and people groups.  And where do We go? “…provide no silver or brass in your purses, no scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the work man is worthy of his meat. And in whatsoever city or town he shall enter, inquire   who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when he come in to an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy let your peace come upon it, if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. (Mathew. 10:9-13)

Accordingly, the disciples went to this worthy House with out “Obtaining Previous Appointment”.  They just walked in the name of Jesus and stayed, for a few days.  They declared peace. The household provided their needs. And later Jesus followed up coming to these villages and imparted his virtue of healing and deliverance. Where would Jesus stay when he came to minister to people? Probably in   one of these “Worthy Houses” What a privilege for this household to have God of the Heaven and the Earth to be in their house! THIS IS THE GREATEST REWARD ANY HUMAN BEING CAN EVER GET.

Is a God’s Servant Knocking at your door? by sending an e-mail? or news letter? How did you re-act?

For he know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for  your sakes he became poor, that ye became poor, that you through his poverty  might be rich”..( 2.Cor.8:9) THIS IS HEAVEN’S FORMULA EVEN TO-DAY.

The Christian workers are made poor to bless and bring your prosperity and peace! Jesus when first entered the house of Simon peter to the houses in

Bethany and his going to the wedding in Cana of Galilee brought peace, joy, resurrection, healing and blessings.

Let me give you some breathtaking worthy houses where the messengers of God took shelter and manifested gods grace and virtues:

1.  Rahab the Harlot: (Joshua:2)

Joshua sent spys to “Jericho” to find out the details of the land. Rahab an

harlot  lodged them and informed them that their nation feared the Jews

and the Lord  will give Jericho in their hands. And she planned their escape

in safety and  requested that she and her  household be saved and be

rescued. This exactly  had happened and Amazingly, in Mt.1:5 we read

Rahab giving birth to Booz and  entering the linage that gave Jesus to this

World! A small act of kindness to the  unworthy servants of the living God

brought an everlasting reward to her and her household!

2.  Saribath widow verses Elijah ( I.Kings.17:9-24)

There were innumerable widows in Saribath but God sent His prophet Elijah to the widow who had provision for just one meal to her son and herself. Elijah, having heard of the situations, demanded the first cake to be brought with drinking water.

But he declared in the name of Yahweh that is she did that there shall be always oil and flour for the two to live till rains came in the land and they found wheat and oil.  And as a 2nd Blessing, her dead son was resurrected back to life. Even to-day the kingdom of God is supported by such great people

3. King David and Abigail: (I. Samuel: 25)

King David was in hiding from King Saul’s slaughter plan. He and his men near deep forests near Carmel was hungry and in need. Mr. Nabal was a very rich man. David sent 10 of his men to Mr. Nabal and asked for food and provision

“… Who is David? and who is the son of Jesse? there be many servants now a

days, that breakaway everyman from his master. Shall I take my bread, and my   water, and my flesh, and give it unto men, whom I KNOW NOT WHENCE THEY   BE?”( I.Sam:25:10) was Mr. Nabal’s Reply

To-day many speak out exactly the same words. The truth was why should I give MY WATER, MY MEAT, AND MY FOOD to YOU… and unworthy fellow attitude!

And the tragedy of many Mission Leaders, Organizations, agencies and individuals is the same even to-day.

But Abigail appeased David and provided his needs. In10 days time Mr.Nabal died of a Heart attack. Abgail his wife and all his belongings became David’s!

4. Rockefeller the Richest in the world:

I have heard of the ambition and hard working young man with a dream, to become the world’s richest man. At the age of 33, he did.

But at the age of 53 He was dying with a mysterious sickness. His coffin was ready and the pastor was fixed for funeral. At this time a man of God visited him and Preached  him Jesus and Rockefeller accepted. He recovered slowly. He started a foundation immediately and began to give away his wealth to God, to the poor and needy, to education, and development of science and medicine. He lived till the age of 98 till giving to God and to the good causes!
