The truthful commitment means to commit to the truth.  The Cape Town Commitment deliberately dropped the eschatological urgency of life and commitment of the church.  Without the Eschaological urgency, you will have static world view that stagnant world may continue without ending, that is Hinduism.  Only when the church faces the truth of imminent second coming of Christ, the church will be more faithful and truthful to obey to the full extend of the will of God.  God does not want to see anyone perish when Jesus return and judge the world.
