“To research” is a concept from Latin, composed with the particle “Re”, that is a frequentative emphasizing upon “being back, repetition” from or of a fact or an action; and from the verb “to search”, deriving also from a verb of the common Latin circare, that means “to go around”. Circare is a verb composed on the same principle as the other words of the same family, namely, circum, “around, surround” that gave circus and circulum, “object of circular shape” that gave circle in English.

The basical principle is their “circularity”, i.e., the fact they’re `diagrammaticizable’ into a round, a circle.

In fact, if the verb “to search” means in a first meaning, “to endeavor (physically) to discover, to find”; and that in a second meaning more or less figurative, it means “try to discover by an endeavor of thought”, then, “to research” that includes the frequentative “Re”, “being back, repetition” of the first past actions, is nothing else than particular emphasis or insistence upon the fact of searching really. Searching and coming back twice or many times to the starting point and search again, becomes that is called “to research”. “To research” therefore obeys, not only to the same principle of “circularity” that characterizes all the words from the same family than “circle”, but also and over all, insists upon the fact of coming back on one’s tracks, coming back to the starting point before continuing.

All that means clearly that, for a circular object or an object having a ball shape, we go around the object and come back to the starting point while drawing as diagram, a circle; and for an object of any shape, that we can control the whole object from the knowledge of its structural shape. We know that a determined object or subject is the one that is really defined in space and time. If an element of its general morphology (general limits of its full shape) remains still hidden, we won’t know entirely what this object is and therefore, we’ll know how to use it, but partially or even not at all.

Whereas everything was created for a purpose, nothing in the world exists for the pleasure of existing.

In summary, research is the set of works, of intellectual activities that tend to discovery of knowledge and new laws for sciences domain; and of new expression means for Arts domain.

Besides, science as for itself, is a word from Latin scientia, “scientific knowledge, theoretical knowledge, science”, from the Latin verb scire, “to know”, i.e., “to have a theoretical, scientific, technical knowledge; exact knowledge of something; to be educated in something”.

Science (or sciences) is generally a main knowledge holding a determined and recognized object (it doesn’t matter the nature of the subject and/or object: language, structure of matter, fossil, waves, even Salvation can be subject of research as mentioned in this passage: “Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing (…)”, 1 Peter 1:10-11.     

It’s in a restricted meaning that Science considers as unique symbol of scientificity, Mathematics and as science, similar sciences to Mathematics.

The adjective “scientific” comes from the common Latin scientificus, “that belongs to Science, to sciences, scientific”. Whatever concerns sciences is scientific, (classically opposed to the Arts).

In a second meaning, everything that conforms to the requirements of objectivity, regularity, permanence, constancy, rationality, precision, method of Science (of sciences) is scientific. Anything that doesn’t obey to these requirements cannot be considered as scientific.

For a theoretical, scientific and technical knowledge, in other word, for an exact knowledge of any object (unknown or ill-known), we need to do investigations upon it. These scientifically done investigations on varied objects, ill-known or unknown, are what we call differently scientific research. The needs of investigations of all kinds, recommended by God as in the following passages, are in large number in the Bible:

“If a man or a woman living among you (…) and contrary to my command has other gods, bowing down to them or  to the sun or the moon or the stars of the sky, and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly”, Deuteronomy 17 : 2-3 ; after this first case of  research concerning the worship of creature to creature, comes the second related to false testimony: “If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse a man of crime (…) The juges must make a thorough investigation (…)”, Deuteronomy 19 : 16-18.

  Scientific research is first of all a process, a rational (<Lat. ratio, “count, calculation”, from reari, “to count, to calculate”) method that, while obeying to  mathematical calculations, permits to consider phenomena or cryptonomena, to have problems solved, and to get from them precise responses once scientific investigations are over. Scientific research is a process because this process is itself a rigorous system leading to acquisition of new knowledge. Research goes to a lot of trouble to discover what is hidden, to reveal what exists but that is not seen at the first go; and that Peccatologists cadoshologists unlike phenomena call cryptonomena. It has the tendency to discover constantly new laws and/or new principles of possible explanation of things.

In essence, we can say that the functions of scientific research are: retrodiction (learned explanation of past phenomena, misunderstood from the contemporaries of the period), diction (masterly description, explanation of present fact for its understanding) and prediction (control or mastery of future phenomena from the predetermination of their guiding or existing principles).

Scientific research has other aims than discovery of the unknown and/or ill-known, hunting of the truth hidden  -  For it’s the truth that delivers, as it’s written in the Bible  –  under objects, facts, behaviors, phenomena or cryptonomena, practices, etc. To break out this truth, researcher starts from simple supposition or hypothesis to end up in a unchanging truth that let henceforth no more doubt making use of a series of methodically rigorous operations. As illustration, the ministry of the Rév Dr Grant R. Jeffrey, author of many books of which the famous The handwriting of God, is an example of evangelical emeritus researcher whose scientific researches aim to convict, by means of exact sciences, whoever does not have Christ to accept Him as the Indisputable truth that delivers.

Christians slept, leaving science or even scientific research to the hands of the agents of the Devil and are ready to “diabolize” whoever talks of science in the Bible.

So, it doesn’t worth that we talk of information (or computer) sciences or of Internet for all of them are the instruments that the hands of Satan already touched. If the Lord Jesus said that the sons of this world are wiser than those said to be from the Kingdom, it’s not wrong. Thus, the sons of darkness move forward with great steps, with high technologies for massive destruction of humane creatures, images of God the Creator, we, sons of Light delay doing good. Let’s wake up!
