How do you see discpleship in your church?

Hello dear family in Christ.

“Discipleship is very important” is what I hear a lot these last few years. And the reality is that some of us have been discipled and some not. As a new church planter I am very much interested to hear about your side if you do discipleship in your church, how many people are doing it and maybe few ideas how.

In my sending church that I come from we do have discipleship. Who is doing it? From the 70 people only 4 missionary people are doing it. The rest are involved in the church programs or just coming to the church.

How they do it – when they find a potential person they usually meet with them twice a week, do some work together, study Elements (unique tool to help them grow in their relationship with God) and maybe after year or so give them some involvement in the ministry or church. At the moment we didn’t have any good success with discipleship because some got married and not doing anything. Some others just don’t want to grow to the point that they will do it well.

What about you situation?

Serving together,

Sebastian
