As I have ministered to seafarers from more than 100 different countries I have seen with my own eyes what difference a church on board makes. Anyway, the question must be allowed: Where can the seafarer attend church? He often does not reach a port where a church is close to the harbour, he even does not have time to get on shore to visit a church. And he is not getting home for usually 9 months. During a life time a seafarer spends about 25-30 years away from home. Where is his church during these 25-30 years? The only logical and I believe also biblical answer can be: A church must be on board his ship!
