Book Review: Out of Poverty

There are 525 million farms in the world of which 85% are less than 5 acres on which about 2.2 billion people live. But there is no one developing the technology, tools and approach for the poor as most of the money goes to develop goods for the large farmers of the world. The average farm size in the USA is 446 acres while in Europe the average is 68 acres and in Asia 1.5 acres. The purpose of IDE is to develop new ways of doing agriculture for the dollar-a-day, one acre farmer.
