Leader Formation Institute – Eastern Europe is the Leader Formation International (LFI) Antioch Center Strategic Initiative.
In the first three years of LFI’s joint venture with the Antioch Center (2006-2008), we have conducted eleven pastors conferences in Romania and two in Moldova. In evaluating this project, we have jointly concluded that it is time to change our approach to Romania/Moldova and Europe from one of seed sowing to one of intentional focus. We have surfaced and begun to meet a significant need in Romania/Moldova, the need for character as the foundational element in leadership as well as competence in certain vital areas. While all agree that the functional focus on leadership skills is essential for the impact of the Gospel in Romania/Moldova and Europe, more and more have come to recognize that this emphasis alone is not adequate for the Christian leader.
Leader Formation Institute-Eastern Europe launched in 2009 is a three year structured intensive and informal process of mentoring offer for Christians leaders from Eastern Europe. At the moment are 20 leader/mentors who, proven organizational leaders who mentor other organizational leaders (their peers) by influencing and reproducing other them so they become more effective leader/mentors who do what their leader/mentors have modeled, equipped, and released them to do with others.

OUR UNIQUENESS
We meet the needs of the church leader by focusing on the leader’s heart and how this relates to the leader’s skills resulting in a growing integrity before God and man.
We bring a unique focus on the connection between the leader’s heart, hands, and head in order to form whole leaders for Eastern European.
We focus first on the foundational sub-cultural human realities (the commonality of fallen man, such as independence from God, self-reliance, identity struggles, and pride that are common to all cultures) and then on the culturally conditioned specific skills needed to lead in Eastern European .
We mentor leaders in how to mentor other leaders thus multiplying our influence in the community and the country.
We use a process of forming leaders that fits the Eastern European culture: in Eastern European countries for Eastern European countries and eventually by Eastern European countries.
We have an indigenous strategy that will be a model for other parts of the world.
We will equip Eastern European leaders to teach biblical principles of leadership and mentoring the Eastern European way.
We are a learning/transformation ministry through which the heart is changed, the mind is renewed, and the hands are released.
We minister to both husbands and wives.
OUR STRATEGY
In conjunction with the Institute we can accomplish our mission and share our values through building the partnerships with other Christian organizations and Schools, and also through make available our resources for abroad and building a network of leaders who will adopt the values and support one another in live based on this.
