I met the swedish NGO worker at the end of the story - as well one of the girls from the family.  Being around people whose hearts seem so pure is definitely a checkstop for my own life.

In the rural jungle area of a persecuted country, a man and his family lived the only life they knew. Unfortunately the youngest of his four daughters started becoming more and more sick.  He took her to the city to see if anything could be done for her.  Through a series of miraculous conversations the man was lead to a Christian Non-Government Organization.

As the young girl was now breaching death, the Missionaries took her and the man to a nearby country in hopes of getting proper medical treatment.  There they found the girl had a vicious form of Japanese encephalitis and the doctors pronounced that the girl would most likely be dead in a few hours.

The missionaries got on their knees and started praying for the young girl.  God started healing the little girl and within a week she was up walking around.  The father gave his life to Christ along with the two head doctors that were treating the little girl.

The disease had caused brain damage, but within a few weeks they headed back to their home to tell the news about what the Lord had done for them.  The man began evangelizing to his community, telling everyone that God had healed his little girl. The community officials got word of what the man was saying and instantly they took him and threw him in jail.  This left his wife to raise four girls on her own.

A short while later the mom got cancer and passed away.  With no one to raise the children, the officials released the father to take care of his family.  The father had not lost faith in prison and continued to tell others about Christ.

One day, while riding his motorcycle with his youngest mentally disabled daughter on his lap, the man was brutally shot dead.  The daughter was shot in the hand and with her limited mental capacity simply sat down and cried.

Eventually someone heard her and the girl was reunited with her sisters, however, the girls now had nothing.  They approached the same NGO that helped initially, and eventually over the course of a few years and miraculous provision of the Lord, a Swedish NGO worker married the oldest of the daughters and now takes care of the whole family.

We continue to pray for healing of the emotional and physical state of the sisters. Many of them have deep burdens that cause them to often have extremely mood swings and fits of anger and depression.  We thank God for the young Swedish man of God who continues to take care of the whole family.
