1 December 2015 is GivingTuesday

Following the success of the first ever #GivingTuesday, we’re sending out a call to charities and fundraisers to get involved this year on December 1.

#GivingTuesday, launched in the UK last year, achieved tremendous success with over 800 charities and businesses signing up as partners, including BT, Argos, RBS, NSPCC, Marie Curie, RSPCA, and Cancer Research UK.

#GivingTuesday trended across the UK on Twitter for 11 hours and gained the backing of the Prime Minister and many well known people, including Tom Daley, David Tennant and Dame Helen Mirren!

We also saw donations increasing and fantastic examples of people giving time, skills and voice to the causes that they care about. We want to build on this success by getting more people and charities involved this year.

#GivingTuesday can support your Christmas campaigns, provide a national focus for something you would like to do in your community or simply help raise the profile of your cause.  Ideas can include organising a fundraiser, starting a social media campaign or sign people up to direct debit giving.

We’re here to support you. We have toolkits, resources and case studies available and would love to help promote your plans.

If you are not already involved, now is your chance to get on board. Find out more and sign up to #GivingTuesday today.
