Yes, of course. We should look for each other, help each other, encourage each other, bear the other’s burdens, share what we have with each other, not to dominate or look for the strongest, but serve each other for the PASSION that we have for the gospel.

 We need each other (1Co. 12:21). We are members of one another. Our problem could be in not sharing our needs and to think that we don’t need anyone and that we don’t need to share with others. 

Is very difficult to trust in the person that has no weakness, the one that always wants to give but not to receive; is difficult to trust in someone that wants to have control over us. 

The beauty of the incarnation is that Christ Jesus being in very nature God willingly made himself nothing to be with us. It’s interesting the perspective of the apostle about weakness. His suffering was for Christ, not for money or to win prestige. His weakness caused the extension of the gospel. Even when there was conflict and egoism, the gospel spreads and God’s people is encouraged to preach it.  Paul is arrested, suffers, in the  midst of the weaknesses he preaches even in chains. The weakness of Paul makes clear his motives and spreads de gospel (2 Co. 12:9-10)

 We should ask each other: what can we do to be strong? We have to know our weaknesses. When we are weak then we are strong. The strongest testimony, has not come from a perfect and strong church. What amazes the world is a weak and faithful church. They noted that the disciples were with Jesus because they where ordinary men (Acts 4:13). The weakness demonstrated that they were with Jesus. The association, the partnership, the collaboration, the strategic alliances can work when every church, agency, or institution recognizes it’s own weaknesses. Each one is not just a donor but someone that also receives, it’s not only what we can give but also what we can receive.

 We should search ourselves the ones from the North as the ones from the South at the light of what the apostle says: “Because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (1:5). “ all of you share in God’s grace with me” (1:7). This is the apostolate that Paul and the church share for the PASSION of spreading the gospel to all nations (Ro 1:5, and Eph. 3:2,8).

 2-The passion of being a servant

When we go to chapter 2, there is a unique description of Jesus as a servant. There we have examples of other servants as Timothy and Epaphroditus. The chapter 3 gives us a warning against bad workers, in chapter 4, Paul begs Euodia and Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord and towards the end he gives thanks to the Philippians for their participation in the gospel. It speaks a lot of the servants, to serve together and the problems there are when we do it, therefore:

 2.a We should participate incarnating the model of Christ Jesus

In the chapter 2:5-11, Christ Jesus himself emerges as a model of cooperation, in his participation in Gods plan. He models the attitude we should develop in order to achieve the partnership successfully. We are told of the:

-         unanimity with the plans of the father (vs.5)

-         the denial of  himself, in search of the achievement of the common goal (vs.6-7)

-         obedience to God’s established plan(vs. 8)

-         Christ Jesus is exalted (vs 9-11). He must be exalted as a result of our attitude in the partnership

 We must understand the biblical faith based in the being, that is in the relational aspect, the incarnation of the model. First of all we belong to trinitarian community hence we are trinitarian christians. We should question ourselves about how can we reflect on this and to put into practice the love between us. First comes the relationship. To relate to one another in an authentic way. This requires honesty, truth, vulnerability, submission, encouragement, and work.

 The biblical faith not only is related to respond and believe in a message, but, it has to do with living the message in a concrete world, the world of wealth and poverty, of injustice and corruption, and the world of divisions and rivalry.

 It is an attitude problem. We are all rich and poor at the same time. Again the problem that lays beneath is how to relate, how to incarnate the model of Christ Jesus. That’s why the apostle says if there is any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any fellowship with the Spirit (that is communion), if any tenderness and compassion then be like-minded, being one in spirit or purpose, doing nothing out of selfish ambition but in humility considering others better than yourselves.

 Do we ask ourselves how to build a better cooperative missionary bridge?

-         In the beginning we should answer that we have to relate to each other. The problem arises when we despise the relationship and this is from both sides: from the North and also from the South. We should have unanimity with the plans of our Father. (Luke 6:27-31). This unanimity with Him, speaks about having the same feeling and like-mindedness. Speaks about forgiving, about humiliating , about understanding and comprehending our different cultures and helping mutually. There is no one superior and no one inferior. This unanimity speaks us to go out together to look for those who are lost in order to be present in front of the others. Speaks of the obedience at the time when I have to resolve the interpersonal and interorganizational conflicts. It means also that we should improve our communications bridge. A face to face relationship. This relationship kills email. Our problem is that to often we despise the relationship face to face. We say: why should I go? Why loosing my time? We can give money or ask for it but if we don’t go either to the South or North what we are despising is the face to face relationship.

 -         Another way to improve this cooperation bridge is to keep in mind that the one that gives is not the most important. Some times we can  give money, other times human resources, etc. The point is that when we sit together we take for granted who has the power or we want to take the power o demand the power, because we have money, the people, the capacity, the initiative, the growth, etc. We must achieve a correct understanding of the relationship North – South and South – North in which all must be servants following Jesus example.

 -         Another thing to point out is that we must have a right balance in relation to financial help. We must not hold what must be given. We must always seek God’s guidance and His wisdom.

 -         Finally we must give and receive (Php. 4:14-15). Give our spiritual, intellectual, emotional and material resources for the benefit of the extension of the kingdom of God. All the churches have gifts to give to the others; all the churches need to receive and give to others.

 When we serve through the partnership we could say like the apostle: “A fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.” (Php. 4:18)

 How can we participate in the sending of missionaries from the third world to the occident and to other continents?

There are no excuses to move forward in the relationship.

“This incarnation speaks to us of the different levels of cooperation. Epaphroditus (2:25), a messenger from the Philippians to show their cooperation, illustrates the three degrees of cooperation in the partnership:

 -         Common sympathy (Adelphon= Brother) describes the simplest degree of cooperation, an identification that comes from the agreement that we share common goals and this evidences our desire of fulfilling my goals to help you fulfil yours.

-         Common work (Sunergon=Collaborator) describes a more committed level of cooperation. When a common task is shared now both are conscious that the work they do contributes to the achievement of the common objective, and both are committed to do their parts.

-         Common danger (Sunstraitioten=partner of army) The best description for this, the most committed level of cooperation, is given by the passage in verse 30 “because he almost died for the work of Christ…”, no only to be willing to do the same, but to suffer the same”. Because we are taking the gospel to all the nations, we must have the PASSION to follow the model of CHRIST JESUS: “THE PASSION OF BEING SERVANTS”

 3- A passion to know the Lord

We can be working hard and doing so many plans, but we must not neglect the PASSION of knowing Jesus. Many time there is a lack of passion for Jesus. Part of our roll in this millennium is to keep knowing Jesus. We can be very thrilled by the programme of the church, or the Organization or the Institution, but not with Jesus itself. Our first priority in this millennium will be always to know Him.  We get so wrapped up in planning that we forget of Christ Jesus.

What was important for the Apostle was knowing Christ Jesus (Php. 3:8), therefore:

 3.a Because we know him we must participate on his sufferings

“I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death” Php 3.10

 The Apostle was an example. He lived in suffering. “Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church” Col. 1:24. Both Paul and Epaphroditus took a step beyond. They have given themselves sow much up to the point of giving their own life. We also must complete what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions. The church is present in this world to complete what is still lacking of His afflictions. This is cooperation in the Gospel, and it must be done in every possible way so we can move forward. To be like Christ and evidencing the practical relationship of what this means. The present condition of the world is subject to suffering (Rom 8:18,20). Jesus humbled himself, endured and suffered. He gave us triumph over the Devil. We are now called to participate on his sufferings (Php 1:29, 1Pe. 4:13,16). To know him is to participate of this. In a similar line it is here where we must experience forgiving others, because if we don’t know Him we will not be able to forgive. He was misunderstood, killed and crucified.

 We ask ourselves: Must the missionary societies, churches and institutions rethink their missionary understanding to improve their dialog? We must say yes. Many times we have reduced the biblical text. We must preach “the whole Gospel” to “all the nations” until He returns. It is an integral Gospel, “that he is the Lord of all life” and no just our hearts. There is a kingdom and a King that wants to be Lord. “Jesus Christ is Lord”, and his wish is that the blind may see, the oppressed may be released, the cripple may walk, him who is naked and hungry may be dressed and feed, that the justice and love may be practiced as a signal of the kingdom (Luke 4:18-19, Mat. 9:35-36). The integral mission must be “universal” without falling into parochialism; but at the same time the universal mission without being “integral” it’s in risk of becoming colonialism. We wish to see the Church of Jesus Christ planted to the end of the world, this must be our priority; but we cannot only take care of the religious aspect, personal, internal, without taking care of all the aspects of human life.

 Finally we ask ourselves: The structures of the occidental mission can be improved, changed or cancelled?

The answer is that the church and all the variety of institutions, must be lead by the Holly Spirit. To know Him is to recognize the voice of the Spirit. Is  to listen and follow the Holly Spirit in his works and orientation.

A church lead by the Holly Spirit has a variety of ways:

-         There is opportunity of open doors to take the gospel (Acts 16:6-10)

-         There is opportunity of giving and we must investigate what we must be giving (2 Co. 8:1-5)

-         There is opportunity of planning ( Rom. 15:23-24)

 The big hero of the mission still remains the God, Jesus Christ and the Holly Spirit. We must assign the Holly Spirit as the perpetrator of the work of Christ where the church is born, develops, has strength and an effective testimony. As we live under his influence the church is build, it consolidates, and expands. What is most significant is not our structures but the Mission. It’s interesting to see in the book of Acts how the twelve try to maintain the same structures by appointing Matthias, but it points out how the Holly Spirit will call the church to a new mission that will need a leadership from a different type than the apostles. They misunderstand that the structure of the church will be the same that they knew, but the truth is that the Holly Spirit forces the church to reform to become more faithful to it’s Mission. Jerusalem had it’s time and it’s mission, now it comes a new time and it is necessary to reach the unreached and the church in Antioch is the one that responds to this commitment. Luke focuses on this church not because it was the most rich or powerful but because it was able to cope with the challenge of that time. Paul and Barnabas together with the church at Antioch have joined God’s mission in the world and both, the Antioch church and them set out for the missionary work.

 When we get involved in the mission we are sharing the mission of the missionary God and we are not working in any other private project. We are the service of the missio dei. Our mission is to share His. The fact that we could decide together to make a mission both from the North and from the South, will be a sign of the defeat of Satan. The fact that we will make it together with our differences of culture, riches, background, etc. will require the help of the Holly Spirit and an availability for sacrificing what is ours for the sake of His Mission.

 We are from different countries challenged to be citizens of Heaven (Phil 3:20). We are reminded that we have a common future and the same identity.

Let us take part of the mission of God in the world taking “the hole Gospel” as “Servants” that “know Jesus Christ”.

Let this be our “PASSION” in the third millennium.

 LAS MISIONES OCCIDENTALES Y SU ROL PARA EL TERCER MILENIO

"Hermanos, sigan todos mi ejemplo, y fíjense en los que se comportan conforme al modelo que les hemos dado" Filipenses 3:17

El rol que las misiones occidentales jugaran en relación con el nuevo contingente de misioneros del tercer mundo (Africa, Asia y Latinoamerica) levanta algunas preguntas: ¿Nos ayudaremos mutuamente ?, ¿Cómo construir mejor el puente misionero de cooperación?, ¿Las estructuras de Misión Occidental pueden mejorarse, cambiarse, o anularse?, ¿Estas sociedades misioneras, iglesias, seminarios o centros de entrenamiento tienen que replantear su entendimiento misional para mejorar nuestro diálogo misionero?, ¿Cuál sera la participación de estas misiones en el envio de misioneros del tercer mundo a occidente y a otros continentes?

El Apóstol Pablo en su carta a los Filipenses nos da algunas respuestas y un modelo a seguir. Podemos afirmar que el apóstol esta definiendo el rol de la misión con la palabra PASION.

1-El Evangelio es la pasión del Apóstol.

La pasión clave es por el evangelio. En el capítulo uno, Pablo nos habla acerca de la comunión del Evangelio, cuenta lo que le pasó a el y anima a los creyentes a que se comporten como es digno del Evangelio. De aqui se desprende que:

1.a Debemos participar ayudando a otros por medio de la cooperación.

La pasión por el evangelio nos debe llevar a participar, cooperar, compartir (cap 1:5) y no a competir:

-Compartir en una empresa común (2 Corintios 8:23),

-Compartir una experiencia común: la persecución (Hebreos 10:33 y Apocalipsis 1:9), el sufrimiento (2 Corintios 1:7), la alabanza (1 Corintios 10:16), la debilidad y fortaleza (Filipenses 1:12-18),

-Compartir privilegios en común (Romanos 11:17; 1 Corintios 9:23),

-Compartir realidades en común (Filipenses 1:7),

-Compartir por medio del dar o donar (Filipenses 1:5)

Por lo tanto los filipenses "participaban en el evangelio"(1:5). Se puede hablar de "comunión". Koinonia es la palabra neotestamentaria traducida como "comunión", "compartir", "c ontribución","común". Participar y cooperar tiene un rango ancho de significados en que se puede usar,  pero es "común" en el ser y el hacer; es el hilo que une todo.

Lo que queda muy claro es la idea de compartir algo, una empresa, un propósito, una experiencia, el dinero, lo que sea, debe ser compartido. Ademas lo que se comparte primero en el contexto de la iglesia es la fe. Lo que sale de la koinonia de la fe es la koinonia de la obra.

El compartir la fe viene primero y define la cooperación práctica. Pero la común fe DEBE tener una salida a la participación práctica y esta participación en la práctica tiene consecuencias c oncretas.

En el caso de Pablo y los Filipenses,  se veian los resultados concretos de la cooperación:

-gratitud constante(1:3),

-intercesión c onstante de Pablo por los filipenses (1:4),

-evidencia de un sano proceso de perfección de la iglesia (1:6),

-cooperación que les hizo participantes de su ministerio (1:7).

¿Debemos ayudarnos mutuamente?

Claro que si. Debemos buscarnos unos a otros, ayudarnos unos a otros, animarnos unos a otros, sobrellevar las cargas unos c on otros, compartir lo que tenemos unos c on otros, no dominarnos o ver quien es el mas poderoso, sino servirnos unos a otros por la PASION que tenemos por el evangelio.

Nos necesitamos (1 Corintios 12:21). Somos miembros los unos de los otros.

Nuestro problema puede estar en no mostrar nuestra necesidad y pensar que no necesitamos de nadie y que no hace falta compartir c on otros.

Es muy difícil c onfiar en la persona que no tiene debilidad, la persona que siempre quiere dar pero nunca recibir; es difícil c onfiar en alguien que quiere tener el c ontrol. La belleza de la encarnación es que Jesucristo siendo por naturaleza Dios se rebajo voluntariamente para estar entre nosotros.

Es interesante la perspectiva del apóstol acerca de la debilidad . Su sufrimiento fue por Cristo, no fue por dinero o por ganar prestigio. Su debilidad causo la extensión del evangelio. A pesar del c onflicto y del egoismo, el evangelio se extiende y el pueblo de Dios es alentado para anunciar el evangelio. Pablo es arrestado, sufre, en medio de la debilidad predica estando en cadenas. La debilidad de Pablo hace sus motivos claros y se expande el evangelio (2 Corintios 12:9-10).

Debemos preguntarnos unos a otros: ¿que podemos hacer para que seamos fuertes?

Debemos c onocer nuestra debilidad. Cuando somos debiles entonces somos fuertes. El testimonio mas fuerte,  no ha sido a travez de una iglesia perfecta y fuerte. Lo que sorprende al mundo es una iglesia debil y fiel. Ellos notaron que los discípulos estuvieron c on Jesús porque eran personas muy vulgares (Hechos 4:13). La debilidad demuestra que estuvieron c on Jesús. La asociación, la cooperación, la colaboración, las alianzas estrategicas pueden funcionar cuando cada Iglesia, agencia, o institución reconoce su debilidad. Cada uno no es solo un dador sino es alguien que tambien recibe, no es solo lo que podemos dar sino lo que podemos recibir. Debemos examinarnos tanto los del Norte como los del Sur a la luz de lo que dice el apóstol: "Porque han participado en el evangelio desde el primer día hasta ahora"(1:5), "todos ustedes participan        c onmigo de la gracia que Dios me ha dado" .

Este es el apostolado que Pablo y la iglesia comparten por la PASION de llevar el evangelio a todas las naciones (Romanos 1:5, y Efesios 3:2,8).

2-La pasión de ser un siervo.

Cuando vamos al capítulo 2,  hay una descripción única de Jesús como siervo. Luego tenemos ejemplos de otros siervos como Timoteo y Epafrodito. El capítulo 3 da una advertencia sobre los malos obreros, el capítulo 4 Pablo le ruega a Evodia y Sintique que se pongan de acuerdo en el Senor y al final da gracias a los Filipenses por la participación de ellos en el evangelio.Se habla mucho de los siervos, de servir juntos y de los problemas que hay cuando servimos juntos, por lo tanto:

2.a Debemos participar encarnando el modelo de Jesuscristo

En el capítulo 2:5-11, Jesuscristo mismo emerge como un modelo de cooperación, en su participación dentro del plan de Dios. El modela la actitud que debemos de desarrollar para lograr c on éxito la cooperación. Se nos habla de la:

-Unanimidad c on los planes de su Padre(v5),

-la negación de si mismo, en busqueda del logro del objetivo común(vv6-7),

-obediencia al plan establecido por Dios(v8),

-Jesucristo fue exaltado (v9-11). El debe ser exaltado como resultado de nuestra actitud en la cooperación.

Debemos entender la fe biblica basada en el ser , o sea en lo relacional, la encarnación del modelo. En principio pertenecemos a una comunidad trinitaria y por lo tanto somos cristianos trinitarios. Nos debemos preguntar como podemos reflexionar sobre esto y llevar a la práctica el amor entre nosotros. Primero está la relación. Relacionarnos de una manera autentica unos c on otros. Esto requiere honestidad, verdad, vulnerabilidad, sumisión, ánimo, y trabajo. La fe bíblica no solamente tiene que ver c on responder y creer en un mensaje, sino, tiene que ver c on vivir el mensaje en el mundo c oncreto, el mundo de riqueza y pobreza, el de injusticia y corrupcion, y el de divisiones y rivalidades.

El tema es un problema de actitud . Todos somos ricos y pobres a la vez. Nuevamente el tema de fondo es como relacionarnos, como encarnar el modelo de Jesucristo. Por eso dice el apóstol si hay comunión en el espíritu , si sienten estimulo en su unión c on Cristo, c onsuelo, compañerismo (o sea comunión), ahora tengan un mismo parecer, un mismo pensamiento, no hagan nada por vanidad, sino humildemnete c onsiderando a los demás en primer lugar.

¿Nos preguntamos cómo construir mejor el puente misionero de cooperación?

-En principio la respuesta que tenemos es que debemos relacionarnos. El problema suge cuando despreciamos la relación y esto es tanto de unos como de otros, tanto los del Norte como tambien los del Sur. Debemos tener Unanimidad c on los planes del Padre. (Lucas 6:27-31). Esta unamidad c on El, nos habla de un mismo sentir, y parecer. Nos habla de perdonarnos, de rebajarnos, de humillarnos, de entender y comprender nuestras diferentes culturas y ayudarnos mutuamente. No hay nadie superior, ni nadie inferior. Esta unanimidad nos habla de salir juntos a buscar a los que estan perdidos para estar presentes ante los demas. Nos habla de la obediencia a la hora en la que debo resolver los c onflictos interpersonales e interinstitucionales. Significa tambien que debemos c onstruir mejor nuestro puente de comunicación. Una relación cara a cara. Esta relación mata al correo electrónico. Nuestro problema es que muchas veces despreciamos la relación cara a cara. Decimos:  ¿para que voy a ir? ¿para que voy a perder el tiempo? Podemos dar el dinero o reclamarlo, pero si no vamos tanto al Sur como al Norte lo que estamos despreciando es la relación cara a cara.

 -Otra manera de construir mejor este puente de cooperación es tener presente que el que dá no es el mas importante. A veces podemos dar dinero, otras veces damos recursos humanos, etc. El tema es que cuando nos sentamos a dialogar demos por hecho quien tiene el poder o queremos asumir el poder o demandamos el poder, porque tenemos el dinero, la gente, la capacidad, la iniciativa, el crecimiento, etc. Debemos lograr un correcto entendimiento de la Relación Norte -Sur  y Sur -Norte en que todos sin excepción debemos ser "siervos" segun el modelo de Jesús

 -Otro punto a observar es que debemos tener un balance adecuado en cuestiones de ayuda financiera. No debemos retener lo que hay que dar. Debemos siempre buscar la dirección de Dios y su sabiduría.

 -Finalmente debemos dar y recibir (Filipenses 4:14-15). Dar de nuestros recursos espirituales, intelectuales, emocionales y materiales para el beneficio y extensión del Reino de Dios. Todas las iglesias tienen dones para dar a otras; todas las iglesias necesitan recibir y dar a otras.

Cuando servimos en medio de la cooperación podemos decir como el apóstol:

"Es una ofrenda fragante, un sacrificio que Dios acepta c on agrado"(Filipenses 4:18)

  ¿Cómo podemos participar en el envio de misioneros del tercer mundo a occidente y a otros c ontinentes?

No hay excusas para avanzar en la relación. "Esta encarnación nos habla tambien de los diferentes grados de la cooperación. Epafrodito (2:25) , un enviado de los filipenses para evidenciar la cooperación, ilustra 3 grados de cooperación en la participación:

-Simpatía Común (Adelphon=Hermano) describe el grado mas sencillo de cooperación, una identificación fruto del reconocimiento de tener objetivos que nos son comunes y esto evidencia nuestro deseo de cumplir los míos para ayudarte a cumplir los tuyos

-Trabajo en Comun (Sunergon=Colaborador) describe un grado mas comprometido de cooperación , cuando se comparte una tarea que les es común, ahora, ambos estan c onscientes de que el trabajo de uno, c ontribuye al logro del objetivo común, ambos estan comprometidos hacer su parte.

-Un peligro Común (Sunstraitioten=Companero de milica) La mejor descripción para este, que es el mas comprometido nivel de cooperación, lo da el mismo pasaje, en v 30 "porque por la obra de Cristo estuvo proximo a la muerte...", no solo estar dispuesto a hacer lo mismo , sino sufrir lo mismo." (Hugo Morales COMIBAM Internacional)

 Porque estamos llevando el evangelio a todas las naciones, debemos tener la PASION de seguir el modelo de JESUCRISTO: "LA PASION DE SER SIERVOS"

 3-Una pasión por c onocer al Senor

Podemos estar trabajando muy fuerte y haciendo muchos planes , pero no debemos descuidar  la PASION de  c onocer a Jesús. Muchas veces falta pasión hacia Cristo. Parte de nuestro rol en este milenio es seguir c onociendo a Jesús. Podemos estar muy emocionados c on el programa de la Iglesia, la Organización, o la Institución, pero no c on Jesús mismo. Nuestra primera prioridad en este milenio será siempre c onocerlo a EL. Nos involucramos tanto haciendo planes que nos olvidamos de Jesucristo.

Lo que le importaba al Apóstol era c onocer a Jesucristo(Filipenses 3:8), por lo tanto:

 3a Porque le c onocemos debemos participar en sus sufrimientos

"Lo he perdido todo a fin de c onocer a Cristo, experimentar el poder que se manifesto en su resurrección, participar en sus sufrimientos y llegar a ser semejante a el en su muerte." Filipenses 3:10.

 El apóstol fue un ejemplo. Vivió en el sufrimiento. "Ahora me alegro en medio de mis sufrimientos por ustedes, y voy complentando en mi mismo lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo, en favor de su cuerpo, que es la Iglesia" Colosenses 1:24. Tanto Pablo como Epafrodito dieron un paso mas alla . Se entregaron totalmente a punto de arriesgar la vida misma.  Nosotros tambien debemos completar lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo. La iglesia esta presente en el mundo para completar lo que falta de sus sufrimientos. Esto es cooperación en el Evangelio, y hacerlo de todas las maneras posibles para que podamos avanzar. El ser como Cristo y evidenciar la relación práctica de lo que esto significa.

La presente c ondición del mundo esta marcada por el sufrimiento (Romanos 8:18,20). Jesús se humillo a si mismo, padecio, sufrio. El nos dio el triunfo sobre el Diablo. Nosotros ahora estamos siendo llamados a participar de sus padecimientos ( Filipenses 1:29, 1Pedro 4:13, 16). C onocerle es participar de esto. En otra linea parecida es aqui donde experimentamos perdonar a otros, porque si no le c onocemos no podremos perdonar. El fue mal entendido, lo mataron, lo crucificaron.

 Nos preguntamos: ¿Las sociedades misioneras, iglesias, instituciones, deben replantear su entendimiento misional para mejorar su diálogo? Decimos que si. El texto biblico muchas veces lo hemos reducido. Debemos predicar "todo el evangelio" a "todas las naciones" hasta que el venga. Es un evangelio integral, "que es el Señor de toda la vida"  y no solo de nuestro corazón. Hay un Reino y hay un Rey que quiere ser Señor. "Jesucristo es el Señor", y su deseo es que los ciegos vean, los tristes tengan gozo, los paralíticos caminen, los que no tienen ropa y alimento lo tengan, que se practique la justicia y el amor como señal del reino. (Lucas 4: 18-19 y Mateo 9:35-36)  

 Finalmente nos preguntamos ¿Las estructuras de la misión occidental pueden mejorarse, cambiarse o anularse?

La respuesta es que tanto la iglesia y las mas variadas instituciones, deben ser lideradas  por el Espíritu Santo. C onocerlo a El es reconocer la voz del Espíritu. Es escuchar y seguir al Espíritu Santo en sus hechos y orientación.

Una iglesia liderada por el Espíritu Santo tiene una variedad de caminos:

-Hay oportunidades de puertas abiertas para llevar el evangelio (Hechos 16:6-10)

-Hay oportunidades de dar y debemos investigar que es lo que tenemos que estar dando(2 Corintios 8:1-5)

-Hay oportunidades para planear(Romanos 15:23-24)  

El gran heroe de la misión sigue siendo Dios, Jesucristo y el Espíritu Santo. Le debemos atribuir al Espíritu Santo como el c ontinuador de la obra de Cristo donde la iglesia nace, se desarrolla, tiene vigor y un testimonio eficaz. En la medida que vivimos bajo su influencia la iglesia se edifica, se c onsolida, se expande. Lo significativo no son nuestras estructuras sino la Misión. Es interesante ver en el libro de los Hechos como los doce tratan de mantener las mismas estrucutras eligiendo a Matias, pero es llamativo como el Espíritu Santo va a llamar a la iglesia a una nueva misión que va a necesitar un liderazgo diferente al de los apóstoles. Ellos mal entienden que la estructura de la iglesia sera igual a lo ya c onocido, pero lo cierto es que el Espíritu Santo va obligando a la iglesia a reformarse para ser fiel a su Misión. Jerusalem tuvo su momento y su misión, ahora se acerca una nueva era, y es necesario responder a los no alcanzados, y es la iglesia de Antioquia que asume este compromiso. Lucas se ocupara de esta Iglesia no por ser la mas rica o poderosa, sino porque supo enfrentarse a los retos del momento. Pablo y Bernabe junto a la Iglesia de Antioquia se han unido a la misión de Dios en el mundo y tanto la iglesia de Antioquia como ellos se lanzaron a la labor misionera.    

 Cuando nos involucramos en la misión estamos compartiendo la misión del Dios misionero y no estamos trabajando en ningun proyecto privado. Estamos al servicio de la missio dei. Nuestra misión es compartir la suya. El hecho que podamos decidir juntos hacer misión tanto los del Norte como los del Sur, será una señal de la derrota de Satanas. El hecho que lo haremos juntos c on nuestras diferencias de cultura, riqueza, trasfondo, etc, requerira la ayuda del Espíritu Santo y una disponibilidad de sacrificar lo nuestro para el bien de Su Misión.

 Somos de diferentes paises desafiados a ser cuidadanos del cielo (Filipenses 3:20). Se nos recuerda que tenemos un futuro en común y una misma identidad.

Tomemos parte de la misión de Dios en el mundo llevando "todo el  Evangelio" como "Siervos" que "C onocen a Jesucristo". Que esta sea nuestra "PASION"  en el tercer milenio.
