Now 60 years old, most of them as a believer, I’m surprised I’m not more like Christ and that the Church in general is not more like Christ. Nor are we yet particularly effective. At best, the U.S. is said to have only 9% of adults as ’evangelicals’ (Barna definition = holding a ’biblical worldview’.) If applied here in our city, that leaves 364 of the 400 people who die here each week. Hardly anything like Christ called us to. Something needs to change. And that something is us.. the Church.
