Theoretical beliefs can be stated in “what you say,” but true beliefs are revealed in “what you do.” You have probably mentioned the importance of prayer and its necessity for growth in Christ, God-honoring relationships, and effective ministry. If you desire to grow in Christ, then an honest evaluation of what you truly believe can be made in the context of “words” and “actions.” Use this article as a tool to determine if your prayer perspectives are mirrored in your prayer practices.

Thank you for this article on prayer, I can relate to this article in many ways.  I have never known a time in my life when prayer was not a vital part of it.  As a child my parents taught me the importance of praying to God on a regular basis.  Through my teenage years I drifted away from prayer except for the occasional emergency prayer that a teenager prayers.  As I moved into adulthood I found myself relying more and more on prayer to make good decisions.  Many of these decisions were decisions about relationships, family, and careers it was not until I surrendered to the ministry that everything changed.  From that moment on I realized that prayer would not only be a part of my life it was going to be my life.
