I do agree with the concept of giving expounded in this article and would recommend it for a wider reading. To be rich towards God is to be directly rich towards oneself and others, since God promises to do much more in this present age in the age to come.
Having taught Biblical Stewardship for several years now, can confirm positively that there is great joy in giving. Consider the statement by the Apostle Paul, while quoting a saying of the Lord Jesus in Acts of the Apostles 20:35 - ’It is more blessed to give than to recieve’. Translated literary, it reads: ’it more blessed to give than to amass wealth’ (So Howard Marshall, Commentary in Acts).
Let us, therefore, not grow weary in doing good, for when the time is ripe, we shall reap!
