Self image and self confidence are issues that everyone wrestles with, especially in a culture that puts great value on physical perfection. So how does Holly Strother respond? Born with spina bifida, she lives with an imperfect body. Yet this engaging young woman chooses to embrace God’s unique design for her and serves as an advocate for other people affected by disability. In every part of Holly’s life – personal, academic, and career – her faith, strength and tender heart shine from deep within.

Hi Holly, thank you for your post. You have encouraged me more than you could know. I think we may be a similar age, I too have a physical disability, but I struggle with self-image though I know it is bondage to do so. Do you have a twitter or facebook account where I can keep up with what is happening with you and pray for you? thank you, jacks.

I grew up carrying the pain of my disabled sister, Beena. Her story is found at http://fountainoflifefellowship.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/
