Attached to this post, you should find a copy of the PowerPoint presentation from the panel discussion that I participated in at the Southern Baptist Convention’s 2012 North Central States Rally in Indianapolis. The PPT was created by Dr. Van Kicklighter who is a top church planting leader for the Illinois Baptist State Association (though I have added a few personal notes). The websites and resources you included in this powerpoint presentation are helpful to those of us who have an interest in unreached people groups. I can only imagine how helpful the panel discussion was when you presented this at the Southern Baptist Convention.
I am in a Missions class at a university and we recently completed a project where we prayed for 30 nations with heavy concentrations of unreached people groups. This class has really opened my eyes to the vast amount people in our world that are unreached.
Thank you for this resource and keep up the good work.

I found this post to be very helpful. The content is good and the idea of sharing best practices for reaching people groups is even more valuable to the mission of the church. I live in a city, in North Carolina, where there are an abundance of churches. In my experience, many of these churches have to work really hard to attract and keep people in order to stay afloat. Competition becomes the norm. Sharing resources, like best practices, is not often practiced. I think our area should host a forums (maybe two annually) where all the Christian churches come together for the sole purpose of sharing best practices in the area of evangelism and disciple-making.

What you say about competition is right on. Unfortunately, we have created that kind of an environment through our systems and and structures. What ever happened to planting a church because we wanted to reach lost people?

This is a very informative presentation that would certainly have been worth hearing live at a conference. With that being said, it provides enough resources for a person not able to attend to be able to grasp what was intended. The resources are very helpful in understanding the strategies and understanding the biblical need to reach specific people without encountering the barriers discussed.
