Humility is a necesssary trait for effective ministry and leadership. Humility is also the path by which we all came to Christ. Predictably, humility is a gift from God and is seen most notably in believers with a dynamic and personalized walk with Christ. The linkage between trials and increasing humility is always characteristic of those continually growing in Christ.

I don’t think humility is a gift from God. I believe it is a choice of action that we as Christians should choose. And when we decrease ourselves for the higher calling in Christ then God elevates, edifies and exalts us in His glory. I Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”
