Can we pool our experience to provide Biblical answers to basic questions many Christians are asking? Please start with a Biblical reference and follow it with a short explanation (80 words max).

To set a context let’s consider climate change and the recent statement from the US National Academies of Science (http://bit.ly/usnas-climate): “Climate change is occurring, is caused largely by human activities, and poses significant risks for... human & natural systems”

So here’s a question:

‘How can I possibly make a difference to the climate?’

I Cor. 12:5-6  "There are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are a variety of activities but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone."  (NRSV)  I agree that everyone can do their part, even if it is small.  God planned for us all to contribute our abilities to make the world a better place.

Luke 13:18-21 Jesus says what the Kingdom of God is like. First, it’s like a tiny seed that grows into a big tree. Or, it’s like a tiny amount of yeast that makes the whole loaf rise. God’s purposes often start in a very small way but they grow big! God will grow his work in your life. Also God will multiply his work from one person to another until the world is changed. First steps matter however small!
