Join the conversation on Children and Youth

Children and YouthGod is doing remarkable things involving children around the globe. They are praying, evangelising, acting compassionately, providing leadership and using their gifts to serve in ministry. These children will be the ones to help navigate their families, communities and churches through the unique challenges of the coming decades. It is imperative that we listen to their voices and encourage them to be all that God intended.

Many in the body of Christ who have been seeking to care for, evangelise and disciple children are experiencing great encouragement from a wave of partnership efforts which are resulting in increasing numbers of children encountering Jesus and experiencing the Gospel in action. Others are sharing the vision for fresh and courageous initiatives which are equally needed if the statistical challenges of 2 billion children are to be taken seriously. Still others are re-thinking our current paradigms of ministry and mission with children.

Join the conversation on Children and Youth to look at current theological reflection and strategic action concerning children, including powerful, practical examples of strategies to engage your churches, families and communities. Connect with others who are currently working with children and be equipped with resources to help you advocate for children and minister effectively with them.

How does Scripture’s view of children contrast with your culture’s view?
Whose responsibility is it to pass on faith to the next generation?
What are the implications for our evangelism and mission strategies if the majority of Christians today made their first commitment to Christ under the age of 20?
What are some of the roadblocks to taking ministry to and with children seriously in the church and missions?
What would it really take to ‘reach’ the 2 billion children of the world and help them to be all that God intends?
How could we empower children and encourage them to use their gifts in prayer, evangelism and discipleship?
How do Kingdom values shape our approach to the resources needed for the evangelism, discipleship and care of children?
What practical strategies, models, tools, resources and partnerships are currently effective for the evangelism, discipleship and care of children?
