All the people of the Earth, at a given moment of their history, had a need that God might go to their rescue setting them free from suffering they endured somewhere in their flesh or spirit.
Let’s remember a bit of black slaves in the farms in America that, after God abolished slavery, today our black American brothers live together at ease with our white American brothers on the same Continent; to the persecution of the first Christians in Europe or whom, to live their Christian faith, God allowed them massive movement towards the new world (Canada, USA), Australia, etc.; to Colonization and forced works in European Colonies of Africa that the Divine intervention put a stop to pains; to Apartheid in South Africa that the ANC’s reaching in the Power from then on is a genuine puff of oxygen agreed by the Highest to the Blacks; to numerous natural catastrophes, and so on and so forth. It’s not for next to nothing that God says in this passage: “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of my salvation I helped you (…)”, 2 Corinth. 6:2a.
Today, in some places of the entire World, many of Christians permanently live comfortably off, in incredible graces and miracles of God. Overall those who live Countries in that their ancestors did nothing to put territories under curse (human sacrifices for example), but have as spiritual foundation, the Bible and as founders, the Christians.
In the meanwhile, some other ones are already, before the Great Tribulation, almost in “small hells”, for being in Satan persecutor agents’ clutches. It’s quite because of these ephemeral graces in physical life on Earth and of the Everlasting Grace for being saved by Jesus Christ for the Heaven that the Bible exhorts not to see them as reward following to their good behaviors: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”, Rom.3:23. All of us were sinners that some had the grace of being saved by Jesus Christ while some other ones remain in the shambles of paganism that, you and I have the duty to have them get benefit of the same grace of salvation. Graces we received must not remain free, we must deserve them doing everything we need to permit them receive the same. It’s what the Bible expresses by: “(…) not to receive God’s grace in vain”, 2 Corinth. 6:1. Paul says that he had indeed received the grace of God, but not in vain because he worked hard afterwards to be worthy of it: “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them (…)”, 1Corinth. 15:10.
In the framework of the Gospel, what does mean “to have worked harder”? It means “to have paid particular attention to the fact that your neighbor who deserves receiving this same grace of God’s Salvation may not be deprived of", but that he effectively gets benefit from the same: “See to it that no-one misses the grace of God.”, Heb. 12:15.
There were people (white, red, yellow and black) who were slaves of the Sin when they were pagans, i.e. who were ready to obey to all the orders of the Sin because this one triumphed over them: “(…) for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.” 2 Pet. 2:19b.
However, now that they’re converted and set free from their past slavery, God has declared them from now on slaves of Justice: “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness (…) But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life”, Rom. 6:18-22.
Tree is recognized by its fruits. The Christian’s fruit is Holiness that leads to Everlasting Life. But, when the Christian is asked to sow the seed of Holiness, to invest in Justice and harvest the fruit (Holiness that leads to Heaven); it’s as he was asked to accept what he hates more in his life. He becomes sad, moody as he has lost a dear being. Whereas that this is so simple for whoever knows where we should keep our treasure for safe: in the Heaven.
Christian who has many cars could merely offer only one of them as contribution; he who (widow, widower, female and/or male orphan) inherits real estate goods, could offer some rooms to house such Institution; he who could equip it in regards new Information High Technologies is welcome; he also who could issue a Bank Check or make use of his Credit Card, ok, come on!; and so on.
We saw and heard talking about wealthy people that, before their death, had written on their will that their dog, cat or any other creatures not liable to the Last Judgment, would inherit immense inheritance (real estate or money) because they mistook that the work of God consisted in saving our sinner neighbor from Hell had already ended. Many of those men neglected salvation of otherness (the neighbor) and are waiting in the Dead Stay, being in the illusion that they’re already saved themselves; whereas they forget that most of them will be rejected after the Last Judgment because they will be found unworthy to live in the Heaven: “(…) after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize”, 1Corinth. 9:27.
In the meanwhile, please, note this about myself. I don’t ask gift for myself, but so that you may also abound in God’s works: “Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account.” Phil. 4:17.
