I was so moved by this presentation. The whole story of redemption is God using the unlikely candidate for heavenly purposes. Even Jesus Himself seemed like an unusual pick for Messiah; can anything good come out of Nazareth?

I must say we do need to be sensitive to this matter of female leaders within the church and in the pulpit. but i say God is doing a new and wonderful thing by the way of the women....He always Has.

It is so vital to sensitively engage in these discussions.

@ Jarvis_Ward:

Thank you for this topic!

One of the things that struck me as particularly odd when I was younger was that while my church had many female ministers, none of them were labeled as such.  I grew up in a large churc that had ministers for everything conceivable.  While a male who worked in the kitchen staff or with recreation activities could be labeled as a minister of culinary activities or a minister of health and wellness, a female who worked in youth ministry or in childrens ministry was referred to as a youth worker or a childrens assistant.  It was as if the church was giving that individual all of the responsibility and work to do, but refusing to acknowledge their call by God, which just seems like a real shame.
