Kent Parks is completely correct in his assessment that the greatest hindrance to the completion of our King’s Mandate is the obedience of the church.  Although it is the greatest hindrance, it is not an obstacle that our Lord cannot overcome.  If many of us decide not to participate in the finishing of the task in making disciples of ALL the nations, the Lord will simply (as He is currently doing from the Global South) use those who are willing to lay down their lives for their King so that His name would be worshiped by all the peoples.  Psalm 67 (among other scriptures) gives us a clear understanding of why we, His church have been shown mercy, given blessing and have much favor upon us..."that His way may be known in all the earth and His salvation among all the nations."

May God raise up more men like Kent Parks to call the church to fulfill her HIGHEST calling....to make disciples of ALL the ethne (nations).

I’m just wondering why Unreached People Groups wasn’t the subject of a Plenary session...shouldn’t this have been something the entire Lausanne Conference focused on? This is the essence of the thrust of mission work today...to reach those who have never heard the name of Jesus.

Someone in the Q&A portion asked Kent about networks and partnerships focused on Hindus, or Buddhists. These things can be a bit hard to find due to security concerns, but the Oct/Nov 2010 Lausanne World Pulse describes some networks and provides clues for finding them as well. Stanley Ow’s article, for example, describes some of the networks that exist for SE Asia:

Jesus Christ said the fields are white already harvest in John 4:35. Why does it seem that there are 99 people ready to insult you, make fun of you, or even kill you for every one that is willing to listen? The idea that there are people in the world searching for someone to tell them the Gospel totally blows me away. Thanks for this encouraging presentation.
