Description: Canadian Baptist leader Terry Smith introduces four speakers from the Netherlands, India, Sweden and Lebanon with different experiences and viewpoints on the Church and secularity.

Rotterdam pastor Robert Calvert traces the rise of secular societies in the otherwise diverse countries of Europe.

Pastor Paul Augustine describes how Indian Christians live out their faith in a society that is religiously pluralistic but also proud of being secular.

Swedish apologist and writer Stefan Gustavsson recalls the interaction between Christianity and humanism, two dominant streams in Western thought. He shows how the influences of modernism remain in the areas of science, ethics and religion, even in a supposedly postmodern culture.

Lebanese theologian Nabil Costa speaks of living as a member of a minority religion in a pluralistic society filled with conflict as he seeks to provide a mediating and peacemaking role.
