I deeply apppreciated Dr. Fung’s diplomatic challenge to the notion of global equilibrium as the final outcome of partnerships. Equality and justice are often in the eye of the beholders. These ideals and are easily corrupted or co-opted to ends that do not glorify God. Dr. Fung’s call back to the redemptive mission as our end game with the hope of bringing about equality and justice based upon Christ was timely and necessary.

partnership is about a mutual submission to Christ and a mutual submission to each other. Without this being healthy it can’t work. And we don’t do it naturally, so we must keep reminding ourselves of it: submission to Christ and each other. It starts at an individual level, and must be shared, another example of partnering in submission. Also works in relationships as much as ministries
