Stand up for truth||It’s sad to realize just how much the world is willing to compromize on standards that have been held since the beginning of time.it’s time we stood up to be counted.stand up for what’s right.stand up for truth.

The case for truth was made!||It was very good to hear Oz Guinness speak. His call for truth was spot on! In our pluralistic world it is great to see the church stand up for the truth. As we were challenged, faith is not faith in faith, but faith in God! God is truth. Jesus is truth. It is great to hear the truth proclaimed.

Table group discussion 210||The TGD was really very nice. We had some very different perspectives, but realised that one of the most important things to communicate the Truth, Jesus Christ, is by living it although evangelism should not be shunned.
The group made a connection with the prayer of Paul for the Ephesians for the wisdom and the revelation of the Spirit. That is also our prayer for one another

so important||the aspects of truth that were discussed today are crucial for our ministries, our physical and spiritual witness means nothing with out it. That you for making our call to be agents of truth a highlight of our first day.

Truth - group discussion||a point was made that one needs to first look at what globalisation means in each part of the world. So we tried to first to establish what it means in the various countries represented around our table.
Another point made was the When "Plurality" meets "Globalisation", the result is/can be "PLURALISM".
It was interesting that globalisation means or is manifest in many different ways in different parts of the world.

Table Discussion||Discussion around our table was very fruitful. We focused on ways we’ve found to be fruitful in sharing the truth of Christ in our contexts. The biggest recurring theme was relationship/dialog. This emphasis was elaborated on in different ways. One member spoke of the importance of listening to another person’s needs so that we know how to help them. Another spoke of the understanding that results from dialog which enables us to clarify misconceptions of the Christian faith as well as to avoid the pitfall of misunderstanding and misrepresenting another person’s beliefs. Also related to relationships/dialog - the importance of presence. "Being is important."
Power encounter was also mentioned by several at our table as an important component in demonstrating the truth of Christ. Healings, deliverance from evil spirits, and victory over witchcraft were mentioned.
Contextualization was mentioned as critical but as being effective mostly in the context of real relationships. Relationships without contextualization were seen as superficial. Contextualization without relationship as futile.
Connecting all of these themes perhaps was the idea that "we must surprise them". Relationships, power encounters, contextualization - these provide a means of surprising non-believers in multiple contexts, a way of disrupting their worldview by providing them with an example of something that doesn’t fit.
