Perhaps that’s the connection between us!  I’m 73, but in terms of being born-again, again, I’m just past four years old.  In Paris, 2006, I had a massive heart attack (Aborted Cardiac Death), and through the marvelous work of French physicians and God’s determined will, I’m here and will be in Capetown in about a month or so.  Praise God.  Keep writing and encouraging.  I love your posts.

I’m with you, Joseph . . . the simplicity of biblical truth is really not the issue. The real difficulties of growing in Christ are found within our/my resistance to dying to self (and the associated "living by feelings"). Yet, God has provided ALL that is necessary for us to be transformed into the image of Christ. It’s a lifetime project, for sure, but what a journey!! I’m not all that far from 70 years of age and the rich privilege of knowing Jesus in a greater dimension is appreciated more each day. Going home is going to be great; but, in the meantime, we’ve still got some work to do in His Name. May we be faithful . . . it is simple, isn’t it?

I don’t mean to be sarcastic, but is this too simple for us to understand.  Do we rather desire to discuss more complicated issues?  I believe the gospel is simple.  I believe obedience is better than sacrifice.  I beleive God still "leads his dear children along," as the old hymn states.  He is Alpha and Omega, and everything in between.  Thanks for simplifying things.
