Community Guidelines

The Lausanne Global Conversation (LGC) website is intended to be used as a tool by Christians around the world as together we discuss and collaborate around the important issues facing the global Church related to world evangelization. Your involvement in this community is vitally important.

All activity within the LGC takes place under our common commitment to God, affirmed and informed by the historical Lausanne Covenant. Content of any form (text, audio, video, photography and more) that is hateful, pornographic, libelous, slandering, commercial in nature or that infringes on any patent, trademark or copyright is not permitted within the LGC. The full list of what's not OK is here. We use the latest filtering technologies to prohibit inappropriate language, pictures and content and we have an editorial staff that responds quickly to community issues. However, because technology can only go so far we ultimately rely on the community's ability to police itself and create a safe space for connections, discussion and collaboration. If you see something offensive on the site:

1. Take action. On each page of the website there will be a button called "Mark as Inappropriate", click that button, and we'll review it in light of the community guidelines and, if necessary, remove it immediately.

2. Take ownership of the site. Respond to the inappropriate content by respectfully posting a comment and letting the author know about your concern.

If you ever have an issue with the safety or privacy of the LGC, please click here and fill out the contact form.

Thank you for your involvement in the Lausanne Global Conversation community. We pray this community will help you grow in your faith in Christ, increasing your commitment to share Christ in word and deed so that many more people globally will have the opportunity to hear and respond to the hope of the gospel.
