In October, 4,000 Christian leaders will gather in South Africa for Cape Town 2010, The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization.
The Lausanne Global Conversation allows you to influence Cape Town 2010 (CT2010) with your observations, ideas and comments on the topics that will be discussed at the Congress.
Here’s how:
The presenters at Cape Town 2010 have prepared “Advance Papers” as previews of the material they plan to address in their presentations in October. These papers are being released through the Lausanne Global Conversation to allow you and others around the world to respond with your input and comments.
Responses to these papers will be reviewed and shared with the Cape Town 2010 Programme team, Congress presenters and others so that your input and ideas can impact what they’ll be sharing.
When the presenters speak in Cape Town this October, their presentations will be shaped by the input received through the Lausanne Global Conversation.
While other conversations on the topics may also be reviewed and shared with the presenters, responding to the Advance Papers is your most direct means of impacting the content of Cape Town 2010.
Add your voice to the conversation. It will be heard!
Then in October you can watch videos of the actual Cape Town 2010 presentations, and discuss the sessions with others around the world.
Select one of the Cape Town 2010 Advance Papers. After reading the paper, simply click “Post Comment” below the text of the paper to add your response.
Please keep your responses brief and to the point (no more than 150 words). Consider what would be most helpful to others participating in the Lausanne Global Conversation. Perhaps you could provide an illustration from your context, or add a different perspective on a particular point. You could raise an important question, state an objection, or direct readers to a helpful resource. You could offer a theological insight, or propose a strategic implication.
