Getting ready for Cape Town 2010! So excited!
I grew up in a home I didn’t want to duplicate, a place riddled with neglect, lack of safety, sexual abuse and divorce. My father died when I was ten, spiraling me downward, looking for love everywhere but seldom finding it. During my early teenage years I considered suicide as my mother’s first marriage ended.
Thankfully, a friend invited me to Young Life (a ministry to high school kids). I attended faithfully for a year and a half, longing to hear about Jesus. At a weekend camp when I was nearly 16, I gave my heart to Jesus.
