I grew up in an evangelical reformed family in rural South Holland. After Secondary School I studied Theology at the Theological University of the Christian Reformed Churches in the Netherlands in Apeldoorn. There I also met my wife Beppie, who studied theology. We married and after finishing our BTh, we served parttime in a small congregation in the north of the Netherlands. During our time there, the congregation started to grow tremendously and a lot of our time and energy went into discipling and building the congregation. After 2 years we went into fulltime ministry in the same congregation.…
