Mr. Pranab Kishor Kumar
Mr. Pranab Kishor Kumar was born on 14th Dec 1976 in Bhorpada, Bolangir, Orissa. His father Mr. Karuna Kara Kumar is a Retd Teacher and his mother Mrs. Subarna Kumar is a house wife Having 2 younger sister and 2 younger brothers.
Mr. Pranab has finished his schooling from Bijaya Nanda High School, Belgon and his college studies from Rajendra College, Bolangir, Orissa. He has completed Sermon Academy Course from New Delhi, All India Institute of Evangelism, Kodaikanal,Leadership Training from ILI, Hyderabad and CBC , literacy Teachers Training from Cuttack, Orissa. He is pursing MA in Missions and Development Practices from EFICOR.
He was born and brought up in a Christian family; he lived a nominal Christian life. He had attended an Evangelical Union seminar in Bolangir, Orissa in the year 1996. There he met Mr. Sovan Panda who put some questions before Mr. Pranab, such as have got the Salvation? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior? Then the answer from Mr. Pranab was No! Mr. Panda shared about the importance of accepting Jesus as Personal Saviour. Mr. Pranab confessed all his sins before God as per the Scripture 1 John 1:9 and accepted Jesus as his Personal Lord and saviour on October 22, 1996 and took water baptism on 2nd May 1999. He is the member of Bhorpada CNI Church.
While he was traveling by the bus towards collage in Bolangir, he asked someone who was sitting with him in the Bus about Jesus; He told Mr. Pranab that he does not know who Jesus is? Then Mr. Pranab thought about the evangelists those are working in his area and came to know that they were not able to share the word of God to many peoples in his area. Then he took decision to take the gospel to the people of Bolangir and Kalahandi district of Orissa. Mr. Pranab gradually developed the passion to start an Organization in his area to present the Gospel to the unreached peoples and started praying with two Pastors from IEA and GFA upon this concern for 1 and half year. Finally he founded New Life for India on 27th Sep 1997. Until the year 2000 he used to go different villages to share the Gospel. He along with 11 pastors from different Organizations, used intercedes for one another and shares their Vision and Burden. Inspired by Pastor Paul Radhakrishnan the CEO of Mahanaim Ministries, Mr. Pranab has started Pastors Fellowship in the year 2005, where 15 Pastors from different missions are gathering one day every month for Prayer and Fellowship. He had run the MLZ project of Seva Bharat for 4 year for 600 peoples in 7 villages of his district Bolangir, work among children through Children Bible Club, doing some social service like tree plantation, SHG, health and social awareness camp. He has organized some small leadership programme for pastors and leaders.
Rev. Niranjan Bardhan and Mr. Remo Paul encouraged Mr. Pranab to join IMA as a Seconded Staff to grow in different areas of leadership. He joined IMA on 1st Apr 2008 as an Executive – Member Relations looking after the administrative requirements of the Team. At the same time he is taking care of his own Organization.
His Passion is to evangelize Eunuchs, HIV/ AIDS affected, Pastors, Children, Youth ,Women and Muslims.
