Powerful words and a powerful testimony from a man who has seen and experienced persecution yet continues to reach out in love with the Gospel of Christ. To refuse retaliation when your own wife has been hurt and those you love are forced from their homes and murdered can only come from the Holy Spirit working in his life.
Jesus is our example. He did not retaliate but instead loved and prayed. I can only hope that when persecution comes to America, the Church will speak love and forgiveness to her enemies the way Archbishop Kwashi taught and modeled to his congregations. And in that way, the Church will see enemies becomes brothers and sisters in Christ.

There should be no question to others whom we serve. The gospel should permeate every race, every gender, every social status, every political power including the rich and the poor. We all know this but it is sometimes poorly executed. Christians need to reach out beyond their comfort zone. It is here where we learn to trust God, learn new skills, develop deeper relationships and more importantly…we grow spiritually. I love listening to and hearing these Cape Town experiences of how evangelists and missionaries are overcoming extreme odds to ensure someone else has the opportunity to worship and glorify God. It not only encourages me, but it motivates me to be radical like Paul. He never let intimidation, humiliation, persecution or suffering get in the way of proclaiming the gospel. The gospel has power!!! I pray that I will have that kind of total dedication.
