This presentation examines funding biases of nonprofits & NGOs across race, class, gender and faith. Research shows that while 52.4% of those in poverty in the USA are people of color, only 16.5% of nonprofits are led by people of color, and only 3% of foundation funding goes toward organizations that are led by people of color. One of the unfortunate findings about the assesssment is that as it is made known, it appears to be a total disregard for bring equatiy to the problem. The percentages that are found in the survey reflects a slavery type of mentality where the major of the people of color is being ruled by a small percentage of non-color. It resembles the old aparthaid system where government seems to have little concern

This is a major issue in the USA today. There are some people who are simply out of touch of the plight of the people of color. I don’t know whether they just don’t know or choose not to know!
